Well, OneManga brought up a new Manga series called Ping. I some-what like it because it reminds me of two things I like:
Kazuma from Kaze - When he went crazy with the black wind.
A boy bumping into a random girl who kissed him like in Immortal Regis.
Those things are awesome in my opinion. It also seems to have a nice plot relating to secret martial arts and stuff. Thing is, why do “handsome” boys in Anime/Manga have to have a LOT of strength and/or power? It’s just getting overrated… And if it’s not a female protagonist owning the story, the male who’s the protagonist normal has a large amount of power in either the beginning or the end. I don’t hate that kind of theme or anything, it’s just too old, don’t you think? But then again, what else can be shown besides that for entertainment nowadays?
Fighting. Fighting is what I love the most. Sword fighting is what I LOVE the most. If they were to add that to this Manga, I’ll be damned that I’ll be reading this until the end. If there’s sword fighting, screw the romance. Romance is also what I love in Anime/Manga, but sword fighting is the better if you ask me. Maybe it’s my opinion or maybe it’s because I’m a guy. I don’t know. All I know is that sword fighting ROCKS! Which is why I watch Bleach.
Anywho, I wonder why they called this series “Ping”. I mean, is there going to be a super power related to the word “Ping” or is this guy gonna always feel a “Ping” below his body whenever he sees that girl in the end of chapter 1? Most stories now pick weird names if you ask me. Names which they somehow incorporate into the story to make it ‘make sense’. Another thing I wanna point out is that some Anime/Manga use names which are not even USED in the show/book.
