Weekly Digest - 11/30/08

Time was something I thought I could use hither dither. If I had a pile of work to do, I would think that I had more than enough time to do it so I would go and watch Anime or read Manga. It’s becoming more and more evident to me that I can’t think that way. There’s a word for this: Procrastination. It’s wrong to procrastinate and really, time really gets consumed when you do. But besides that, finals are starting to cave in and I can’t really spend as much time as I thought I could and would on blogging. I’m still able to watch Anime every now and then but the process of taking pictures and uploading all of them is more hectic than I imagined. As such, I can mainly blog a post that summarizes my thoughts on the Anime with an image, if not a bit more. Currently I’m still recruiting for 1 ~ 2 bloggers and it would really help me a lot if you do join in. I’ve recruited only one blogger so far and as you (might have) noticed, he is lelangir :P — Aizen
Manga
Gekka No Kimi — 8/10
I’ve never heard of “The Tales of Genji” but by the way this Manga describes it, it sounds really interesting. It’s kind of about a prince in the past who had harems of ladies who want him but also has a more… “main” story that that same prince is controlling the male lead of the story. It’s both a sad yet happy romance story. Sad because the lovers keep on breaking apart and happy because they majestically get back together.
Kurohime — 10/10
“Dark Princess” is the exact translation of the name. Totally an awesome book about a loli who wants to kill Gods but is later found out to be a hawt women who likes a teenager… and wants to kill Gods. She’s mainly looked upon as an evil entity (hence the “Dark”) but in truth is totally good. What I like about this is that currently (In chapter 22 or something) Kurohime has to get back the boy she loves but at the same time she’ll lose part of her memory ABOUT the boy if she gets hurt. And that’s what hurts her the most - losing the memory of her loved one. If she loses all her memory by the time she meets back the boy, it’ll be futile and even more sad. It’s almost like forbidden love…
Mahou Sensei Negima! - Chapter 234 — 9.5/10
Ooo! PLOT TWIST! Asuna is already captured and is going to remember all of her loli past! This will be exciting to see how she was and her side of the story. Heck, it might even tell us if she’s a relative of Negi or not. If it is, well I’m sorry for all the fans who wants Negi to bang her. Well, it can still work - just that it’d be incest (AND WE ALL KNOW THAT IS WRONG AMIRITE?) Really I just hope that Negi grows up more. I’m not really a fan of shota but I can be a fan of more (physically) matured guys who kick ass. Oh and, why is Fate even still alive after Nagi killed him? :[
MiXiM — 8/10
Well, you gotta fight to save your gal. Heck, you might even be a prince from another planet, I don’t know. I just like this Manga because it has guys who fight to save girls and are trying to romance them at the same time because they are said to be guys who repulses girls. Most of them anyways - the only exception are the 12 Constellation girls. They are the “gals” I’m talking about. For me, I think the main main character is Ichimatsu, a guy who looks like a punk, acts like a punk, but plays with finger puppets. Well, I guess his finger puppets are what makes him a real punk as it gives him super powers.
Watashitachi No Tamura-Kun — Chapter 17 — 7/10
Tamura loves a girl named Matsuzawa. Matsuzawa is a weird girl who Tamura assumes he mentally hurt. They promised to be together but well, Matsuzawa failed her exam or something. Kind of sad but then another girl comes in: Souma. Souma also likes Tamura but he didn’t return his feelings to her… but in a way you can consider that he did. He’s just an extremely nice guy who probably wants to be in every cute girl’s pants. No offense to anyone who actually admires him, but yea :| He doesn’t even want to be embarrassed by Tamura saying that they’re girlfriend/boyfriend when they hang out a whole lot and even acts as one. The next chapter should HOPEFULLY clear up his thoughts about if he really loves Touma more or still wants to wait for Matsuzawa. Really, I just want things cleared out since I don’t like a love cube/triangle/etc…
Anime
Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka — 08
Damn you Junichi for your girl attracting actions. I don’t believe that that orange haired girl who has bouncy oppai actually likes him :> (Or maybe she doesn’t…) As said before, as long as this doesn’t turn into some sort of Da capo video, I’m OK with it.
To Aru Majutsu no Index — 08
I don’t care about Deep Blood. All I care about is Index. The alchemist deserves to be stabbed for trying to mess with Touma’s loli :> I haven’t seen episode 9 yet, but I’ve seen image summaries which were pretty interesting. One thing I don’t get is how the Alchemist allowed Sphinx, the cat, to live? Plus, I don’t think Sphinx is really a normal cat. It’s able to find Touma and “tell” him that Index is in trouble… which I think is really weird and is normally not something normal animals would do. It might just transform into a magician or something in the future and might be someone who is spying on Index and Touma…
