Anime and Manga is hypnotizing. Every time I resolve myself to stop reading a Manga, I find myself reading one 10 minutes later. Every time I say that I will not watch x Anime, I find myself watching it anyways. I’m not an Otaku or weeaboo or whatever you call them; I just like reading the interesting happen-abouts of mythical, imaginary people. It’s like reading a book — but with pictures. But for me, there’s a big difference between Anime and Manga and it is NOT the “One is a book and the other is on TV”. No, that’s not it - it can’t be the only reason. For me, Manga is something that can continue you captivate your mind at a quicker pace than an Anime. A Manga is cut down to have no motion and fewer frames, but is able to make you envision it as if you were really watching it. For an Anime, you only watch. You watch as their movements change and the flashy colors of everything. Anime doesn’t require much thinking while watching, it only requires one of it. That, to me, is the difference from Anime to Manga.

I’m sorry that I can’t blog anything this week, but I’m really stacked with homework and essays. I do plan on making up everything I miss next week (i.e. blog about the Anime and such on… TURKEY DAY!) Besides other mundane events of my life, I just want people to know that my gallery has been revived into something totally new from itself… at least from my perspective it has. Just so that everyone is clear about why certain things are done in a certain way, I’ll explain a few things:
The main page is all about pictures that are jokes/funny/etc
The Computers page is all about Animated pictures that are related to computers, such as browsers or OS type.
The Motivational page contains content from 4chan and other sites… Motivational posters just motivates people. I normally take images that makes fun of something or someone.
The Anime page is just any Anime picture which has no place in any of the sub-categories I made (or are too lazy to make).
To further explain a few things, by “make” I don’t mean by SQL or anything database-like. I mean by creating a directory via FTP. The software I use is a *cough*medium-revamped*cough* version of galerie.php. It might not have the fancy features of other galleries, but those things are just extra candy which I don’t think I need.

Manga

Change 12310/10
I have never seen such a weird, multi-personality Manga in my life. I’ve seen one called “Gacha Gacha” but that isn’t even as great as Change 123. This is full of ecchi and moe :) Plus, it’s also a comedy Manga as well. And the biggest plus for me is that this is also a ROMANCE Manga. Makoto is sure cute, but her personalities are just in disarray. She really needs to merge back all her personalities… it just isn’t as human without them, don’t you think? Since really… she doesn’t have “anger” and stuff. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong to have no anger but I think it’s a necessary to really be human. For instance, if someone beats the crap out of you, you can’t just smile about it. You can feel sad, but at least be angry. Feeling sad is just sad; you can’t hold your confidence with just feeling sad. I hope that Makoto can actually merge her personality and Kosuke actually be with her.

Kimi no Iru Machi9/10
I like this Manga for a few reasons yet hate it for many. I like it because it has a cute girl (or two; Eba Yuzuki and Kanzaki Nanami) who likes this one guy (Kirishima Haruto) and that they get along fairly nice with him. There’s like a love triangle which makes everything that much more interesting. That’s the main reason I like it. What I don’t like is that Eba, who actively shows that she likes Haruto, isn’t even considered someone to be loved by by Haruto. He actually loves Kanzaki and she seems to kind of like him as well. It just saddens me to see someone who tries so hard to be with a guy just so that it’ll go to waste. She’s one of those girls who seem to be like “I’ll support you even if it breaks my heart”… which I really think is a bad thing. But then again, someone’s heart is bound to be broke in the end… just maybe…

Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge8/10
There are two main characters: A girl (Eri Yukizaki) and a boy (Yousuke Yamamoto). I’m not going to go into detail about what happens, but I’ll summarize it based on the whole story… so you might not want to read on if you REALLY don’t want to know about it. Show Spoilers

Now if you think about it, what will happen if Yousuke is gone? Will the Chainsaw man return? It’s a good Manga, just that the way it ended was too abrupt and informing. It should always build up to it in like, 10 chapters :P

Psyren9.8/10
As the name denotes, it’s a Manga that’s similar to having Psychic powers. That’s cool and all and that’s why I love reading it. Nemesis Q is actually the one who gives the main characters these psychic powers and really, Q is not really a nemesis. It’s interesting because the Author seems to love to give mysteries after mysteries in each chapter. It’s one of those “solve one get another” kind of mystery. So I think that the ending will be nice and exciting as well. It even foreshadowed that one guy who’s in the good team will go against them. Initially I thought this as a romance genre type of Manga, but it’s far from it. Just about no romance in it. Mostly fighting, really.

Record of Fallen Vamprie9/10
The Vampire King is alive and not threatening! He is searching for his Queen and will not stop breathing until he finds her! But he’s not searching for his Queen because he loves her, no, he hates her in fact. He’s on a journey to find her and then kill her. This was established like, after over 5 chapters? Regardless, the Vampire King does not want to hurt anyone else. He just wants revenge. Plus, there are half-vampires who have a mix of human and vampire blood in them. There’s also a little girl who’s following him. There is something else called a “Black Swan” whose sworn duty is to kill the Vampire King. With each death, the Black Swan becomes stronger. Currently, the Black Swan has enough power to kill the Vampire King, but she also has a hidden motive: To make use of the Vampire King and the Queen’s power. It’s a total plot twist which I’d say is great to read. Before I judged a Manga by it’s cover… but now I’m judging it by the story line. Well, I also judge it by it’s cover every now and then but that’s just because the pictures look like an amateur drew it. Great Manga to read if you like to read about vampires and magic and stuff.

Shin Angyo Onshi8.2/10
At first I liked this Manga. Then it got REALLY random. I mean, seriously… I don’t like it’s format. It’s already completed and well, the ending sucks. For one thing, I hate it when the story is normal, then starts to have a flashback about the main character’s past WHICH also sucks, then finally kill the enemy. It’s too quick for it’s ending. A bigger thing I don’t like about this Manga is that the main enemy had sexual advances to the main character’s love and that he even was able to mind control his “Sando” (I think it’s his slave/guard) into going against him until the end. What I HATE even more is that the ending ends with death BUT gives a hint that the death never really happened. It’s like Elfen Lied and I REALLY hate that kind of ending.

The World God Only Knows10/10
The Mega Otaku (Katsuragi Keima) has no life and only cares about playing romance Anime. Luckily (you can call it that) he has a demon (Erushii) who follows him around to make him sweet talk girls into loving him so that he can leech out the spirit in them. It’s kind of amazing since he knows exactly how to romance a girl completely, but he doesn’t even like female girls. Just because one girl vehemently spoke invectives to him. Poor guy… because of that he took shelter in Anime and Manga. Now, THAT’s an Otaku. Though… I think I know of only one guy who does something similar to him. I’m actually in favor of Reima’s way of life style. Why? Well, focusing on Anime and all of that takes time off of life. He seems to not really care about anything except that. I’m just the type of guy who’s amazed at people who focuses at one thing and nothing else; it’s like someone who focuses on one subject in school and doesn’t care about anything else.

Anime

Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka - 07
ARGHHH Junishi is lucky to have a tsundere and a deredere. Heck, I think he has more than that. It’s things like this which makes me vomit virtual vomit. I’d only want the tsundere; they’re spunkier and are normally hotter. Just that this is nearing it’s end and it seems that the Author of this show is entangling yet another girl to the parade. I don’t know and can’t even connect why they show what happens to Junishi’s parents. It’s just a mist to me.

To Aru Majutsu no Index - 07
Goddamn, Touma. You have a bloody loli stalking you and eating biting you. Lucky bastard. Faking your goddamn memories and still being able to trick every one to think that you have it all. Just to say this: How OLD is Index anyways? So I really think that she’s just a loli… but I don’t even know her past. How can I say she’s young when I don’t know her past? She can be 25 years old I wouldn’t even know. But what I rest assure about is that she isn’t a trap. That would be… really bad. I don’t want to watch some sort of yaoi-shota thing *shudders*. Before I say what troubles me, I’ll say that this is (in a way) a joke that arose in 4chan’s /a/… which someone crept into my mind and made me think: Is Index a virgin? Yea, that’s kind of vulgar to ask, but seriously is she? She’s been through experiments and many other things… so that is actually a BIG question for me.

Besides that, how’s the Anime “Hellsing” and “Zetsubo Sensei”? I heard they were both good before… but also that Hellsing isn’t THAT good. Any suggestions on if I should really watch either or anything?

They’re both good in my opinion, but you should know that Zetsubou-Sensei gets pretty dull and predictable near the end, and Hellsing went with a completely different story compared to its manga counterpart.
