Umineko no Naku Koro ni -Episode 6-
A new cycle means a new Beatrice opening portrait! Our new portrait features Beatrice wearing some clothes really similar to Jessica’s. The rest of the opening remains unchanged. Taking a break from the serial murder case this episode is mainly referring to Shanon x George and Kanon x Jessica1!
1. The Little Mermaid

OMG! The aquarium has some HUGE fish in it O.O Shanon and George are on a “date” and Shanon knows how to spoil the mood! Aquarium Poetry! At the restaurant George points out the magic that brought them together and gives us some Shanon Grudge facials2
2. Blinkies
Shanon is such an actress!
At the first part of thy section we see Shanon fulfilling Beatrice’s task in order to win George’s heart with magic! After that we go 2 moths in the past and learn that George cared for Shanon even without Beatrice’s help. Shanon gets clumsy and George shows off in order to save her the trouble.
3. Eva Is A B*tch!!!
Did you notice that I noticed that you noticed that she noticed you?
Jessica tries to help with Shono and George’s relationship but becomes WTF annoying! Her chibi face sucks as well ! George adds to this episodes bushiness and then Eva pops up like these MSN notices and mentions George’s marriage meeting with a random rich girl and then whispers to Shanon: Only I touch my son bitch Don’t forget your place!
4. Shanon’s Brooch Collection Expanded!
I wants a butterfly brooch too >.<
Desperate as she is, Shanon asks Beatrice from help! The witch asks Shanon to break a mirror located at a shrine near the port3 in order for Beatrice to regain her powers. Shanon refuses :) 4 because she is concerned about the island’s peace. Kanon shows up and Beatrice gives Shanon a butterfly brooch before taking her leave.

10 months after the previous section in Jessica’s room and later in bed! Jessica gets over-emotional over Shanon and George’s vacation and then takes some drugs medicine. Seems like Natsuhi’s facial passed down to Jessica! However Natsuhi is far better from her daughter! Hands down!
6. Since When Do Witches Eat Cake?
SINCE NOW!
I won’t go into details about the “Sea Mentality*… Too much blabbering NOT to pass! We learn some things about the seal of Beatrice’s powers and its creator but nothing remarkable! PASS!
7. Mokiu Mokiu!
Tsu tsu tsuru ra pa pa, tsu tsu tsuru ra pa pa
And the highlight of this episode is here5! Jessica x Kanon!!! After a show of martial arts ability by Jessica and her iron punch we get to hear probably the most silly and most funny song of the times! Mokiu Mokiu! It may not be as popular as Beetles but it rox!
8. The End Of The Brooch!
Maria has a new psycho rival!
After the end of the concert, T^T, Jessica gets totally rejected by Kanon and Beatrice shows before Kanon and starts laughing hysterically. I love Beatrice’s laugh so much!
The thing I liked the most from the episode was the opening! ‘Cause the rest of it sucked! Mokiu mokiu

Don’t get it…what’s the new cycle all about?
It’s the first time I’ve seen an anime like this that resets in the middle… and it’s kind of weird. And how come in the last scene Beatrice’s dress changed color (the part that covers her breasts is now the same color as the rest of the dress?)
Mokiu Mokiu is annoying.

@TJ: Did you notice too? I thought it was minor so I didn’t write about it. My guess: Someone ripped apart the old one >=D. I like Mokiu Mokiu. It’s so weird and annoying that I actually like it. Maybe not the way I like other songs xD

Okay, I haven’t played the VN yet, but it seems that this arc focuses on Shannon and her relationship with George, as well as Kanon and Jessica. This one’s definitely more magic-oriented as well.
I’m still not sure how these fit into the puzzle just yet, but I suppose I’ll just keep watching and slowly putting this all together…
