Mayuri tries to get Kurusu to talk to her via sharing onigiri. He closed the door on her. She ate some and whined. Renji has to retake a test… and Anzelotte announced it in class. She also mention to do a mission. Why doesn’t the students find this odd? Kureha, Akari, Renji, Elis, and Anzelotte were drinking tea and stuff. Anzelotte explained that they have to get a jewel from a island and that many Wizards failed in getting the jewel from the inhabiter, Kurusu Andou. When they arrived at the island, Mayuri appeared and cried that nothing she tried to interact with Kurusu worked. She seemed to have had been a world savior. She just left.

The four found Kurusu chopping wood and Renji tried attacking him after Kurusu refused to help/give them anything. Kurusu simply knocked Renji’s Demon Sword away and asked him what does he fight for. Renji replied that it’s for the mission, so Kurusu replied that he’ll never beat him with that kind of reason. Renji was saddened by this. Later at night, Elis tried to talk to Kurusu by giving him so madeleines. She just left afterwards. Renji was destroying trees because he was frustrated. Poor trees :’(.

The next day, Renji tried surprise attacking Kurusu, but failed. The three girls were taking a bath in a hot spring when Renji was knocked into it. Akari transported a mini-tub-bowl-thing and smacked Renji with it. They made Renji catch fish for his repent. Kurusu gathered fruits and stuff and noticed that Elis was hanging with birds… or robins. Elis tried to talk to him but it failed. He later twisted hay to make a rope and Elis tried as well, but failed. He asks her if she was having fun with him, and she replied yes. He accidentally received a splinter so Elis hurried and transported medical equipments to spray his hand. Seems that Elis felt she wanted to be of help by being a storage. He asks her if she cared about her friends, which she explained that she did as she had none when she was younger. He gave back the plate and was later asked if he hated Anzelotte. He told her that Anzelotte would sacrifice anything for a mission - regardless of what it is. Elis said she wouldn’t believe that. Bell found where Elis was at and sent Emulators after them… Renji appeared and challenged Kurusu to a battle, but was interrupted when the Emulators and the red moon appeared.

The Emulators were named “Fuuma” and “Raima”, indicated by Kurusu. Seems like Bell knew about those Emulators. They were attacking Elis, so Renji, Akari, and Kureha went to protect. They made a speech about protecting their friends and to get Elis to safety. Kurusu brought Elis to where he left his demon sword at and told Elis of his story of why he left Anzelotte. It seems that Anzelotte teleported his party back to her BUT left a friend of his away… to die. He returned and lent his sword to Renji. Renji killed Fuuma and Raima. Later, Elis asked Kurusu to give her to jewel, which he did. Anzelotte retrieved information that Kurusu was living well. Renji told Kurusu that he wanted to battle him again, after the missions and Kurusu agreed.

Maybe it’s because I’ve seen too much Anime about “protect your friends” stuff, as I would’ve simply answered that if Kurusu asked me “What do you want to protect”. Or maybe it’s because Renji is dumber than I thought. To add to it, don’t you find it weird that the main characters always get the mean ones to become nice, if not remotely nice? JUST because they’re nice? That kinda thing always bring me to feel a bit of anger toward the Anime creator. But what do I know? That kind of thing usually attracts people then repel.

Renji sure is unlucky to be haunted by Anzelotte. Wonder if he ever tried to kill her. WHICH makes me think: What kind of special ability DOES Anzelotte have? Then again, if she HAD special powers, she could’ve probably received all the jewels herself (or is too lazy to do so).
