Hayate no Gotoku! – 44
I am Britney
So the show starts out with Nagi’s “Anime” Opening song and Hayate interrupts her + starts the real Hayate no Gotoku Opening song.
Hayate reads Nagi’s Manga and tells her that it didn’t change in detail from before her edits. She started to yell at him trying to show him what had change and Maria read her Manga. It starts with a Cat-Robot-Driven-By-A-…Squirrel… laughing and mobilizing to attack Britney. Britney says that the squirrel must be a strong enemy and the squirrel said it’s not. Maria didn’t get it either, so Nagi went on to explain what’s happening. Isumi appeared and said that the story was… interesting. She even wrote a follow-up for it: A cat flying and being described about how fast it flys. Maria and Hayate didn’t get it, but Nagi complimented Isumi for her (seriously) geniusness. Sakuya then appeared and started to get on the topic about Manga and drawing Manga. Hayate said it wasn’t that hard if you know what the plot is and stuff just to get a prize. Hearing that, they remembered that Hayate had his own Manga. They wanted to see it.
Well, all I can say is that Hayate’s Manga uses the main character Britney as well… with a highly revamped and better drawn character then Nagi’s. Flawless, as Sakuya said, but a bit on the vulgar (body-wise) side. Isumi and Nagi both thought that Hayate wanted to hit people in the “soft-spot” and not the heart itself. Therefore, they indirectly said he failed. Isumi started to mention about what happens after the Manga and everyone “wanted” to hear it, so Nagi explained. Instead of saying anything about what Nagi said, I’ll just end it with Maria shutted Nagi’s mouth. Hayate continued to say that her Manga was too vague. She later said she’s going to make her Manga into an Anime. In a Ramen shop.
Lights wet out, lights went on. They were now in an Anime production studio. They were all about Anime. The three council members came and started to bother everyone and stuff. Sakuya found someone lying on the floor, so she poked her. Seems like that person on the floor “collapsed” from exhaustion. Well, I know I spoiled this already but: When Hayate asked Nagi what she was doing in the Anime studio, she said she’s making her own Anime (from her Manga). Everyone was started, even Isumi (In the good startled way)
Nagi starts off by trying to tell the workers at the Anime studio what her Anime’s about. They refused it at first, but then one of them got a phone call and instantly changed her and her workmate’s mind to do it. It seems that a rumor was going around that if they took in Nagi’s Anime, their stocks would rise. To simply skip a bunch of useless parts with them making the Anime and and taking away Hamster’s color and animation: The Anime was completed! They were going to watch the Anime (in a movie theatre) and Hanabishi (Miki) was getting ready to cry (from boredom?) from watching that Anime.
It started with a commercial. Then the Opening Theme… which described Britney and that Nagi was the one who created the show. It was expected to be all about the muscular and such Britney, but instead it showed the character’s of Hayate no Gotoku as the characters. Britney being Maria and the Senpai being Hayate. Sadly Hayate already had a “lovely” wife (Nagi) and a kid (Wataru). In the climax of the show, Hayate was turned into a star (by Yukiji, the evil witch) and Maria had to decide whether she’ll travel with Star Hayate to return to human form (and have him leave her and go back to his original wife) or not. We then go to see a cat running toward the sun but never arriving at it. End.
Nagi and Isumi thought it was perfect, but everyone else… didn’t. At night time, Maria was reading over Nagi’s book for what’ll happen next. Hayate appeared and also had the same intention. He asked her if she was Britney, what would she have picked and she replied to let him stay as a Star. Hayate later told Maria to draw and she was too embarrassed to do so. After she was done, she drew a character and said it was Hayate. Who scores all the heroines at once. In other words, a rapist (at least that’s what Hayate thought). Maria then told Hayate to draw.
Oh wow, I literally lol’d when I started to watch this episode. It’s like… so random. I mean literally, this episode was FULL of randomness. I mean sure, it stuck with one idea but in all it didn’t stay with it altogether. But meh, I guess that’s why I still watch this show – it’s funny for what it’s about. Anyways, I guess this episode was in some ways a way for Hayate and Maria to develop a relation ship. She even drew Hayate as some sort of rapist.
Nagi and Isumi… I wonder why do they feel so proud of their “Anime” and “Manga”? I mean… it HAS NO POINT! First it starts to talk about Britney, then it starts to talk about *ahem* her enemy explaining about it being weak, and THEN start to talk about a cat flying. What’s so appealing to that? O_O
Sorry to those whose eyes were destroyed by Nagi’s drawings.
