And we’re on our SECOND anime blog! Hurray!
Well, let’s start summarizing.
It starts out with a new intro AND opening theme song! Kuzuha (The Vice Principle) is eating sweets with her butler, Shion. I guess they’re “lily” (Yuri). Hayate’s being punched by Tama while Nagi and Maria are gazing at the sky because it’s Autumn. Tama fails at trying to use his sharp, long claws to kill (Or fatally damage) Hayate and gets (by himself) thrown into the lake

Nagi finished her manga, and Hayate applauds her saying she’ll win the Rookie Award. She didn’t go to school. Again. Obliviously. Hinagiku greets Hayate, but all of a sudden flyers about a Butler Tournament fell from the sky. Hinagiku sees this and runs off to the Council Building, where Kuzuha’s at. Katsura Yukiji gets the paper smacking her on the face. Literally. Kuzuha’s standing on the balcony of the Council Building, and Hinagiku starts to yell at her. Kuzuha explains what the Butler tournament is about.

Somehow Hayate was involved in the argument and Kuzuha started to attack him. When Kuzuha was about to finish Hayate, she got hungry and lost her energy to finish him off. Suddenly, Shion appeared and acted “lily” to a faint Kuzuha. Hinagiku’s embarrassed by this. Shion introduces herself to Hayate, releases her “aura”, Hayate gets frightened (?) by it, and she leaves (with Kuzuha). Hayate asks Hinagiku to tell no one of what just happened.

Hayate asks Nagi about the VP, and she explains that she’s annoying. Nagi tells Hayate to join the tournament. Nagi was also able to use a fire-blast :) The council members talks about the tournament.

Hayate went to the tournament and sees Shion, then says he will make it to her. Yukiji is the referee, I think, and announces the fighters. Izumi Segawa, sadly, had to forfeit because her butler was missing. She was crying. Cute. Then the 3 “nice guys” that Hayate met in the first episode appeared. The guy with a scar on his face said something to his opponent and he (the opponent) forfeited. Risa Asakaze and that scar-face guy were talking to each other and Nagi + Hayate noted that it didn’t seem right.

Next fighting was Nonohara and Hinagiku. Owner of Hinagiku: Miki Hanabishi. Nonohara had to hold back because Koutarou Azumamiya told him to. Hinagiku “tells” him to use his Safety Cutter, and he does. Hinagiku amazingly blocks it and when Nonohara was about to use another Safety Cutter, Hinagiku won. Hinagiku thanks him that he didn’t hold back, but he says that Azumamiya told him to not win against Hinagiku. Note: Hinagiku is wearing the Utena suit, I believe.

Next fighter is Tama and Hayate. And it ends right there!

My thoughts of this episode was that it was pawnage! Including the Utena suit reference was hawt. We even got to see that someone (Shion) was ’stronger’ than him. And (the act of) yuri. Hell, even Nonohara was there :D
