A failed coup d’etat

When the despot is in great fear for his own well being, he attempts to banish all threats to his society. As graceful the attmept was, it has failed; for the true power lies within the people. His mistake was, being unable to manipulate enough supporters to execute his despotic demands. There is a moral to his actions, that as long as assholes exist in this world, stronger, bigger, more asshoely assholes will exist above those current assholes to keep the less-asshoely assholes in check.

When in the course of domestic events, it becomes necessary for the people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a descent respect to the opinions of mandkind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to seperation.
