It seems that this time, the arc surrounds Tomoya and what are his thoughts about himself graduating and what he has to face.
This manga artist wrote many mangas that I really liked. Some of the ones I read were Suzuka and A Town Where You Live (Kimi no Iru Machi). I haven’t get read Cross Over yet but, Suzuka and Kimi no Iru Machi had been very good already. To me, the characters were very well drawn unlike a few I have seen (no offense to those manga) and I liked that type of plot where there just isn’t magic and big sword battles once in a while. Yukine’s Arc is about her involvement with gangs and how she stops gang disputes with the help of Tomoya.
Shima finally won Misae’s heart over and Misae asks Shima on a date in the fall festival. Shima visits the school and wanted to see Misae’s serious face and had to go undercover as a girl. He left soon after meeting Misae from embarrassment. On the way back, Misae’s friends as Shima to take them to his house and at that point, he remembers that he isn’t Shima and was only helping to fulfill a wish. It ends shortly when Shima disappears on their date. It turns out that Shima was the cat and Misae finally takes Shima to the fall festival.
Tomoya fell asleep while visiting Misae with Nagisa and right before Tomoya fell asleep, he saw Misae’s cat and it was talking to Tomoya! The scene turns back in time where Misae was younger and had a crush on someone. There was a boy with yellow hair and yellow eyes named Shima, standing in front of the school waiting for Misae. It turns out that he came to grant a wish. Every day, Shima would be there waiting for Misae. One day, the guy who Misae had a crush on told Shima to relay the message to Misae that he had a girlfriend. Shima didn’t know what to say when he tried to tell Misae but, she found out herself.
Tomoya is pissed that Youhei doesn’t care about Mei and looked as if they wanted to beat each other up. Mei still want to help Youhei by trying to get the Soccer club to allow Youhei back in. The Soccer club agreed on the condition that Tomoya, Mei and Nagisa help retrieve the balls in practice. The Soccer club mistreats them but, still went on to collecting soccer balls. In the end, the Soccer club does not allow Youhei back into the club. Mei gets abused and Youhei comes to the rescue. Tomoya and Youhei beats up the Soccer club and then beat up each other. The next day, they laughed at each other’s face and seemed to have gotten over it.
Sunohara seems to be getting serious about this whole fake girlfriend thing and seems to really like Sanae. I don’t think Sanae really wants to commit adultery and be charged with relationship with a minor nor like Sunohara in that way anyway. Relations begin to deteriorate between Sunohara and everyone except with Sanae, who wanted to help Sunohara with his problems but, is it even helping right now? Sunohara currently believes he can marry Sanae without getting clubbed in the head with a bat by Aiko.
Sunohara is trying to find a fake girlfriend so his little sister would leave him alone. He tries with great effort to find a girlfriend but ends up getting beat up, tortured by an instrument and mistaken for a sex maniac. In the end, he gets some help from Sanae but, its very risky.
It was only less than a year since Clannad had ended and Clannad After Story began. The story starts with Nagisa’s father, Akio playing baseball and later telling Tomoya to form a team to compete with another team from another town. Tomoya recruits various people to the team to play. The game starts out well but, an accident happens which making the strongest player of the team unable to play and the they had to continue without Nagisa’s Father.
