200 Pounds Beauty is good

No this is not Japan related. So if you were hoping this was about some fat fetish shit, gtfo. Anyways, I’ll try to be as serious as I can in this post. If possible.
This is a Korean drama movie called 200 Pounds Beauty. The plot is basically this “fat, ugly” woman who can SING. And shit, she really CAN FUCKING SING. Her voice is fucking awesome is all I have to say about it. Listen to this clip if you don’t believe me. If you’ll look at the picture, the one on the right is her original self. The one in the center is the guy she wanted to impress and well, be the girlfriend of. As she realized that that “handsome guy” would never love her fat self, she underwent plastic surgery. Liposuction, boob-job, ass-job, you name it. Generally put, she became someone else other than herself as she couldn’t lose weight quickly. Well, in this show this girl, Hanna, became someone else who still liked the guy in the middle. I can’t remember the fucktards name because he was a dick.
But in a way, throughout the movie I thought that fucktard had a fat fetish. I mean if you ask me, he cared too much for the fat version of Hanna. Then again, when he found out her skinny self, named “Jenny”, he became repulsed. Oh wait, was he repulsed by her being skinny or by her being an artificial person who was really fat? Beats me, but I think he’s a sick guy. What that guy said about why he wanted her wasn’t because she was hot as a skinny person, though. He wanted her because she gave an aura of innocence. I can’t blame him. Who wouldn’t want a girl who is innocent?
What saddened me the most in this movie was that she was fat. I’m not trying to make fun of her but well, I’m pretty chubby myself. It really made me think that instead of staying home all day I should really work out and do something better with my life than eat, play computer, and sleep. More or less I don’t want to become obese nor do I want people to mess with my body to become someone I’m not. What moved me, ironically, was the plot that she was avoiding her father and friend more as she was hot. Her father had a mental illness while her friend was “average looking.” She became an egomaniac who though of herself as someone better than others and didn’t want others to know that she was once a fat, ugly girl. It’s a really repetitious plot, but it was “special” for this movie, in my opinion. She did it in a way which amazed me — condescending them, literally smacking them, etc. Hell, she even had a break down near the end when that guy in the middle of the picture found out she was really the fat, ugly girl. I really don’t know what else to say or feel at this point.
This show ended on a happy note though. It was mildly funny to me and I felt like blogging about this because I believe it’s a good movie. It isn’t an awesome movie — just about nothing to me is “awesome.” Good is probably the best it will go; maybe if I were to rate it I would say 9.8/10. Awesome to me would be like, 20/10. What was funny to me was that in the end, it was, in a way, supporting people to undergo liposuction — that fat people should just take the easy way out instead of workout. Well, it might have been a psychological thing (reverse psychology maybe?)
Again, if you have the time you should watch it (somehow). It made me feel emotional in the end and really, made me want to talk about it. It’s rare that any Anime out there would make me feel this and it’s even rarer for a movie to do it. But that’s just me.

Yeah. I bet you’d bang that wouldn’t ‘ya?
