12 Days of Christmas Day 8 – Claymore

The Manga — Two words: Total awesomeness
The Anime — One Conjunction: Facepalm.

Claymore followed the Manga pretty closely until the team was up in the North. That was when they just forked everything over for me. I mean seriously, WHY did they have to almost kill nice ol’ Priscilla? Haven’t they ever heard of the phrase “An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind” (Confucius, I believe). And what did they do after Isley “saved” Priscilla? They split up. They split up and wanted to train more. The hell’s with that? The only “good” thing I would say about this is that Raki rejoined Clare on the never-ending journey to kill demons (or are they monsters? Regardless~).

Now lets step back for a little bit. Who remembers Priscilla going “Oh yea I remember I killed Teresa blah blah blah”? That was a big rush, don’t you think? Sure it helped speed up the ending of the show, but that’s just ridiculous! She should have been FIRST attacked by Clare and be given a taste of Teresa’s power before remembering her… not remember her just by “sensing” her power. That would have made more sense to me. And if we jump back to the end of the show, Priscilla just started to think that she was a Claymore again. What the —– is with that?

All I can say is that this was one poorly thought up show. Manga for the win!
